from: "Explosion of coloured shapes"

An explosion of coloured shapes, a duck surrounded by lines or a big coloured ball.
He expieriences form and colour very sensual, sais Arlt, and that he obviously wants to pass on:
"With the help of my images I want to create orgasms in the visual cortex."
He likes to work with clear and bright colours.
On three screens several videoinstallations expect the visitors.
In seconds motives and music change and seem like an explosion of colours.
He hopes that the visitors understand these videos also as paintings sais Arlt.

from: "The 2010 Calendar"

Arlt contributed the image for march, a sphere in bright, shiny colours on an descending plane:
"I wanted to show mathematical principles like line and circle, simplicity and complexity."

from: "Romanticism meets Satire"

Jan Arlts electronic music is bringing in a certain concentration.
Those who love Schuberts original works suffer, since songs like "Ständchen", "Gute Nacht" and "Auf dem Flusse" are used as a stone pit.
Arlt replaces Schuberts accompaniments with economical new sounds.
The slow progressions, quiet tones and held back rythms create an accoustic stage
for the colourful play with the art of song, fairy tales, verses and talks.
